Contest Rules

Objective

Build a functional, production-ready web dashboard for a human security operator to monitor and manage a fleet of autonomous drones in real time. Focus on situational awareness, threat response, and mission control.

Technical Requirements

  • Full web-based (browser accessible)
  • Must include a live map / spatial view of drones
  • Real-time telemetry display (battery, altitude, status)
  • Alert system for anomalies or threats
  • Individual and fleet-level control interface

  • Optimised for low-latency, high-stress environments
  • Clear information hierarchy under cognitive load
  • Accessible and responsive across screen sizes
  • Design rationale must be included in submission

  • GitHub repository containing all project files
  • README with setup and run instructions
  • PDF report or PowerPoint presentation

Judges begin reviewing submissions. Winners are announced after evaluation and all participants are notified by email.

Submit Your Project

Projects are submitted through GitHub — follow the three steps below.
  1. 01
    Push your project to GitHub

    Create a GitHub repository and upload your complete project to it. Include a README and PDF or PowerPoint presentation that lists your tech stack, how to run your dashboard and explains how the project works.

  2. 02
    Email us the repository

    Send the repository name and link to r.riccardogandini@gmail.com, along with your name / team name and participant type (individual or team). Use the subject line SkyGuard Project - <Name / Team Name>.

  3. 03
    Submit before the deadline

    Your email must be sent before 31 October 2026, 23:59 UTC. Late submissions are not accepted — keep the repository online until results are announced.
